Who is Audie Murphy?

Audie Leon Murphy was the most-decorated U.S. combat soldier of World War II. Among his 33 honors and decorations was the prestigious Congressional Medal of Honor, the U.S. military's highest award for valor. After the war, Murphy's fame came as a celebrated movie star, with 44 films to his credit, and a successful country music composer, collaborating with the likes of Eddie Arnold and Charlie Pride.
